IIMAK Announces Acquisition of Graphic Controls' Inkjet Ink Business

AMHERST,NY –  May 1, 2013 – IIMAK, a leading manufacturer of printing and coding consumables, announces the acquisition of Graphic Controls’ inkjet ink business, effective May 1, 2013.  This includes all manufacturing assets and processes from Graphic Controls to produce and distribute drop on demand (DOD) large character inks, high resolution inks, waxjet solid inks, and Xaar printheads.

“This acquisition is a good fit relative to IIMAK’s strategic focus and channels for printing, imaging, marking, and coding consumables; thereby providing us with a solid growth platform for industrial inkjet inks,” states Scott Surma, IIMAK V.P. of Sales and Marketing, N.A.  “Our expertise in ink formulating, manufacturing, and distribution of digital imaging technologies translates well to these inkjet products, which are primarily used for secondary case coding and specialty marking applications.  We will actively invest in product development to expand our portfolio to meet customer needs.”

IIMAK’s high quality industrial inkjet inks meet or exceed OEM standards and are designed for use on a wide range of print engines and industrial coders, including Marsh, Videojet, Diagraph, and Foxjet.
