About IIMED

Founded in 2003 as a Division of International Imaging Materials, Inc. (IIMAK), IIMED offers outsource manufacturing solutions for Class I & Class II medical device consumables such as orthopedic bracing, sterile & non-sterile supplies, compression therapy devices and patient mobility products. The manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico is ISO-13485 & FDA Registered and supports a broad range of Medical OEMs with high quality medical device production. We currently have an opportunity as an Account Manager. This person would be based within the IIMED team at IIMAK’s worldwide headquarters located in the Amherst, New York.
 

Position AKA:

Position Contributions

  • Manage and grow sales for assigned accounts and OEM prospects. Effectively utilize available selling tools to further penetrate these accounts.
  • Establish clear territory plan which includes managing existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts. Identify accounts in territory and competitor share within accounts.
  • Effectively position iiMED as an industry leader, expand product reach and promote IIMED value-added services.
  • Coordinate iiMED personnel across multiple functions to develop and deliver differentiated customer value.
  • Good judgment and discretion in managing sample, travel and entertainment expenses to budgeted levels.
  • Analyze territory and account data, and then develop and implement strategic and tactical account plans to maximize revenue and profitability. Conduct periodic account reviews to ensure the plans are implemented accordingly.
  • Effectively analyze existing database information and utilize that information to identify buying trends, opportunities and concerns.
  • Coordinate the available company resources to execute effective account management plan.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for communicating sales progress, results and activity within account territories.
  • Responsible for the attainment of established sales goals and management of business aspects related to the territory or segment (price, margin & expenses).
  • Travel as required, up to 50%.

 

Impact we are looking for in first 90 days

This individual should integrate themselves with internal team members, develop an understanding of their territory, and build their knowledge of our existing products and manufacturing capabilities

 

 

 

 

Key Attributes and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree, preferably an MBA, a plus.
  • Medical Device market knowledge expected.
  • Technical understanding of Medical Device Consumables & FDA Regulations is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful business-to-business sales experience required (Contract Manufacturing Sales is a plus).
  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels within an account.
  • Ability to identify revenue and margin growth opportunity; prepare and propose plans.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and use of good judgment in making sound business decisions and recommendations.
  • Proven record of closing profitable negotiations.

IIMAK headquarters is located in Amherst, New York where primary R&D, engineering, manufacturing and sales activities reside, with a strong dedication to cross functional teamwork. Additional manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities are located in Belgium and Brazil.  IIMAK’s IIMED Medical Manufacturing Solutions Division provides manufacturing services in Mexico’s maquiladora region. IIMAK has a strong culture of customer care, providing a full range of highly differentiated services that help our customers grow their business and make doing business easy.   We currently have an opportunity for a Distribution Coordinator at our Northpointe facility.
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Package ribbons to specification
  • Support inventory control by conducting daily inventory cycle counts and row audits
  • Order picking
  • Manifest customer’s orders with shipping software and sorting boxes off the conveyor system
  • Stock and organize warehouse shelves following safety procedures
  • Perform routine transactions with shipping software
  • Operate warehouse machinery such as - pallet jacks, lifts, banding equipment, stretch-wrapper
  • Heavy equipment operation (forklift, reach-truck, walkie-rider)
  • Willingness to accept other warehouse duties as assigned
  • Working schedule of Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm or 1:00pm-9:30pm

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:
(Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job)
  • General warehousing experience
  • Knowledge of shipping / inventory procedures
  • Knowledge of inventory control and other business systems used in warehouse and manufacturing industries (ex. truck history, hand-held PC)
  • Forklift and/or other powered industrial truck experience.
  • Solid experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, math and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of label printers a plus

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
ߦ Fill various types of ink containers using a specialized filling system
ߦ Follow guidelines and quality assurance measures during the ink filling process
ߦ Use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes 
ߦ Inspect equipment or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
ߦ Package and shelve all finished products 
ߦ Rotate stock using FIFO method (First In/First Out)
ߦ Receive in various products from Inkmaking department
ߦ Pick and pack products as assigned
ߦ Maintain clean and organized work areas
ߦ Converting/packing as needed

Position Contributions

  • Maintaining and managing help desk process to include track and route problems, requests and resolutions.
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or remotely.
  • Experience with computer hardware installation and replacement, Windows desktop operating systems, common Windows desktop applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.
  • Understand basic TCP/IP communications protocols, diagnosing physical connectivity issues with computers, printers and telephones.
  • Support IP/Analog phone system including setup and deployment of new phones.
  • MS Exchange/Active Directory/O365 Administration (add/delete users, assign permissions, set up mailboxes in Outlook, integrate O365 with mobile devices etc.)
  • End-point Administration for Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware.
  • VMware/Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.

 

Impact we are looking for in first 90 days:This individual should familiarize themselves with internal process, systems, and IT policies and build relationships with the IT team as well as end users throughout the organization

Key Attributes and Characteristics

 

  • AAS degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of applicable experience, manufacturing environment experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software, hardware and other equipment.
  • Experience with user/computer administration in an Active Directory environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant call tracking processes and experience of customer service practices.
  • Self-starter must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Processing Associate offers an entry level opportunity to be trained and develop in the coating process and if successful, may lead to promotional opportunities as a Utility Operator or MSC Operator. 
ߦ MSC Operator – Minimum two years of coating and web conveyance experience required
ߦ Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures, specifications and follow instructions
ߦ Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
ߦ Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Principle Responsibilities:
  • This position is an opportunity to demonstrate manufacturing aptitude and positive behavioral attributes in a production capacity, with the intention of developing skills for potential career growth into higher level manufacturing jobs within the organization. 
  • Continuous safe and efficient operation of one designated slitting machine model and/or specific product family, to include set-up, operation, change over, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
  • Continuous safe and efficient packing, shrink wrapping and spooling responsibilities.
  • Perform daily audits and accountable for quality.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
  • Daily equipment/tool inspection and accountability.
  • Monitor equipment status and communicate issues to Lead and Supervisor in timely manner.
  • Communicate equipment, product quality and job status to oncoming shift.
  • Other converting tasks as directed, such as Auto Relief Operator for breaks and lunch.

Qualified Candidate Should Possess:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Previous operation of slitting and/or spooling equipment a plus.
  • Ability to learn to safely and efficiently operate mechanical equipment.

  • Willingness and flexibility to achieve department goals and overall group performance.
  • Good math and reading skills, ability to interpret specifications and standard operating procedures.
  • Possess positive interpersonal skills to perform effectively in a team environment.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry, label printing and machine control panel operation.
  • This position will be assigned to tasks within the Converting Departments according to the day’s business needs, to fill in for call-offs, vacation slots or duties deemed necessary by the shift supervisor.
