About IIMED

Founded in 2003 as a Division of International Imaging Materials, Inc. (IIMAK), IIMED offers outsource manufacturing solutions for Class I & Class II medical device consumables such as orthopedic bracing, sterile & non-sterile supplies, compression therapy devices and patient mobility products. The manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico is ISO-13485 & FDA Registered and supports a broad range of Medical OEMs with high quality medical device production. We currently have an opportunity as a Business Development Manager. This person would be based within their assigned territory, Eastern or Western United States.

Position Contributions

  • Establish a clear territory plan which focuses on prospecting for new accounts. Identify accounts in territory and competitor share within accounts.
  • Define and negotiate the terms of the contracts/programs and ensure support and approval from all stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Effectively position iiMED as an industry leader, expand product reach and promote IIMED value-added services.
  • Good judgment and discretion in managing travel and entertainment expenses to budgeted levels.
  • Analyze territory and account data, and then develop and implement strategic and tactical account plans to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Effectively analyze existing database information and utilize that information to identify buying trends, opportunities and concerns.
  • Coordinate the available company resources to execute effective account management plan.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for communicating sales progress, results and activity within account territories.
  • Create and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities through the participation in conferences and business events (virtual or in person).
  • Responsible for the attainment of established bookings goals and management of business aspects related to the territory or segment (price, margin & expenses).
  • Travel as required, up to 50%.

Key Attributes and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree, preferably an MBA, a plus.
  • Must have previous experience in Medical Device Contract Manufacturing.
  • Technical understanding of Medical Device Consumables & FDA Regulations.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of successful business-to-business sales experience required
  • Ability to successfully interface at all levels within large corporations
  • Ability to identify revenue and margin growth opportunity; prepare and propose plans.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and use of good judgment in making sound business decisions and recommendations.
  • Proven record of closing profitable negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and PC skills to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), especially Excel Pivot Tables.

Continuous Improvement Engineer

The Continuous Improvement Engineer is an innovative, technical, and results oriented professional responsible for helping to develop and implement a continuous improvement culture for IIMAK while driving process enhancements, efficiencies, and cost improvements across the organization. The incumbent will partner closely with key stakeholders throughout IIMAK, to lead improvement efforts, while coaching and mentoring employees through training, event facilitation, action plan follow-up, project management and results documentation for sustainability.

Position Contributions

  • Responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams engaged in continuous improvement activities of the company using standard methods for value creation and waste elimination in accordance with industry standard strategic deployment of Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Identifies, develops and leads continuous improvement projects, in support of organizational objectives, and delivers sustainable improvements that translate to positive financial results for the organization.
  • Investigates core business processes, develops recommendations for improvement and facilitates the implementation of action plans to deliver results.
  • Organizes a comprehensive list of improvement initiatives as approved by the executive leadership team, estimate benefits and explain risks, prioritize based on business need, and deliver successful programs that that return benefit to the company.
  • Works in collaboration with IIMAK team members, at all levels, to fully assess current state and future state opportunities while bringing colleagues along as key contributors to successful outcomes.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement-based workshops to drive the identification of ideas and solutions across the organization, solving business problems and innovating our manufacturing operations
  • Ensures that all necessary and applicable documentation is updated and properly stored.
  • Regularly communicates projects, leads tollgate meetings, and updates executive leadership and key stakeholders on project status, roadblocks, and delivery of commitments.
  • Maintains and creates appropriate documentation for reports, project execution, and data analysis.
  • Keep the customer top of mind when making decisions internally.
  • Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture across IIMAK and challenging the status quo.
  • Some travel, up to 10% (including international).

 

Expected Experience and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment supporting or leading Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma strongly desired
  • Demonstrated experience in lean tools and structured problem solving
  • Proven track record of business process projects to achieve business results
  • Advanced experience utilizing business process tools including Excel/Word, PowerPoint, CAD< Visio
  • Strong analytical skills with a mechanical aptitude

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for all aspects of safety. The EHS Manager will ensure that IIMAK meets and exceeds all requirements pertaining to all environmental / OSHA regulations, policies, and procedures.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
ߦ 24/7 manufacturing facility responsibility
ߦ Administer Safety Ambassador program
ߦ Administer safety training and Safety Talk program; research, author, distribute and facilitate talks.
ߦ Develop policies, procedures and protocols to maintain compliance; drive continuous improvement in the safety culture.
ߦ Report and review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing. Make recommendations to address any situations of concern.
ߦ Perform monthly on-shift audits to focus on a safe and incident free workplace
ߦ Monitor, audit and report on compliance with OSHA required programs
ߦ Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation
ߦ Identify opportunities to prevent injuries, improve workplace safety and follow through on programs.  
ߦ Assist in preparing monthly safety meetings
ߦ Perform internal audits of EHS activities to evaluate compliance and input corrective actions as needed.
ߦ Review and update JSAs plant-wide
ߦ Other duties as assigned

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:
(qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job)
ߦ Four year degree or equivalent experience in related discipline plus applicable training such as Industrial Hygiene certifications (CSP or CHCM), Emergency and/or Hazardous Materials certification.
ߦ 3+ years’ experience of managing Environmental, Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience in driving a safety culture.
ߦ Previous experience in claims management administration and loss prevention required.    
ߦ Knowledge of and experience with information privacy laws, access, and release of information required. 
ߦ Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, strong interpersonal and communication skills, general math and computer skills, and ability to provide solutions through suggestions for process improvement.
ߦ Broad knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation.
ߦ Experience of implementing best practices, policies, procedures and process across different sites, ensuring consistency in application where appropriate.

  • Formulate inks for our fluid inks division which specializes in coding, marking, wide format printing, and other applications

  • Design experiments to address key technical issues with guidance from the senior technical staff
  • Analyze results of experimental work and draw initial conclusions for discussion at team level meetings

  • Work with manufacturing engineering to transfer technology to improve ink making and coating processes

Key Attributes and Characteristics

 

  • Associate’s degree in a Chemistry related discipline, or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years technical experience in a lab preferred
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and standard laboratory procedures required
  • Ability to apply the scientific process to resolve technical problems
  • Knowledge of Statistics and Design of Experiment methodology as applied to chemical formulations and the ability to perform standard analysis of the data is desired
  • Experience with aqueous inkjet inks with pigments preferred
  • Some knowledge of fluid ink technology is desired
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with internal customers and interact effectively with all levels in organization.
  • Ability to work well within in a team and use good judgment in making sound business decisions and recommendations.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in ink and coating formulation, prefer aqueous DTG ink experience and other water base experience. Inkjet experience highly preferred
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of analytical methodologies required to design a formulation or process
  • Strong project management skills and familiarity with stage gate process
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with internal customers and interact effectively with all levels in organization.
  • Knowledge of Polymer Science, Adhesion, Surface Science, Paint and Coating Technology, Imaging Science, Photography, Digital Imaging, Digital Inks or equivalent disciplines.

  • Proven track record of successfully scaling and transferring technology from lab to commercial scale.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment, quickly learning new techniques and processes.

The Sr. Manager, Planning will report to the Sr. Vice President of Operations and is responsible for driving operational, tactical and strategic facets of planning, including demand planning and supply planning. This candidate will develop planning strategies and implement best practices in demand planning, supply planning and inventory optimization while ultimately improving market competitiveness for the business.

 

Position Contributions

  • Leads and develops planning department; develops departmental performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demands while enabling accuracy and quality
  • Establishes KPI’s and objectives for the planning function across IIMAK business line, ensuring they align with the overall vision for IIMAK, both current and future
  • Leads and continually improves the S&OP process for the business
  • Actively manage IIMAK’s planning process to ensure a balance between revenues, customer service, manufacturing effectiveness and efficiency, and inventory investment
  • Define and oversee the inventory position for IIMAK that best aligns with our manufacturing goals including inventory investment, replenishment processes, and order fulfillment activities
  • Plan and schedule for ramp up/down of manufacturing processes and new products during the product life cycle
  • Ensure alignment of raw material, conversion, and finished good strategies
  • Identify, organize, and implement cost reduction/improvement strategies and programs to achieve cost reduction goals
  • Communicate any current or future constraints with the senior management team
  • Strategic managerial vision with a focus on developing and cross training internal team members
  • Provides accurate commitment dates and lead times to customer service team across multiple product lines
  • Manages finished goods inventory levels to minimize excess finished goods
  • Oversees the short and long-term master production schedule, maintaining or exceeding acceptable on time delivery performance
  • Manages optimal capacity planning and scheduling to balance manufacturing efficiency with on time delivery and optimization of inventory

Key Attributes and Characteristics

 

  • 7+ years of planning management experience preferred
  • BS Degree in Supply Chain Management or other affiliated business major
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred
  • Strong statistical and spreadsheet analytical skills
  • Experience creating, implementing, and executing on continuous improvement methods across the planning function
  • Experience with ISO9001/13485 and knowledge of regulatory requirements related to international trade compliance and FDA
  • Understands standard enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM) system technologies
  • Strong people leader with ability to develop the Planning team
  • Demonstrated skills in effective communicating, problem solving, and negotiating with a focus on internal and external customer interest
  • Established ability to anticipate critical events, identify resource requirements and assign responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations
  • Strong understanding of output of materials requirement planning \(MRP\), capacity management, and advanced planning system technologies
