The Director of Global Supply Chain will report to the Sr. Vice President of U.S. Manufacturing and is responsible for driving operational, tactical and strategic facets of global supply chain. This candidate will develop sourcing strategies and implement best practices in supplier selection, supply chain risk analysis and prevention, and supplier consolidation objectives while ultimately improving market competitiveness for the business.

 

Position Contributions

  • Lead all strategic initiatives for global supply chain: sourcing, material spend, cost reduction, inventory levels, supplier strategy, supplier consolidation/diversification plans, supply risk contingency planning; identify savings opportunities for quantity discounts, improved payment terms, consignment or other profit improvement techniques
  • Integrate and establish best practices in supply chain standards, systems and metrics, leading to profitability improvements
  • Responsible for directly managing approximately $56 million spend and just under 500 suppliers, and providing leadership to over 22 sourcing, procurement, logistics, material and production planning personnel
  • Support business strategies by adapting to growing/changing market conditions, new business opportunities and cost reduction strategies
  • Lead demand/supply planning efforts to determine optimal delivery on forecasts and forecast changes
  • Develop annual supply chain budget and plans to achieve total cost savings through improvements to price and supplier management
  • Manage supplier relationship with key critical suppliers; build improvement plans for suppliers with service gaps
  • Mentor and coach team responsible for Materials and Production Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Procurement, Production Data Analysis and Inventory Control

 

Impact we are looking for in first 90 days:This individual should integrate themselves with internal team members, understand currently supply chain procedures and operations, and start to develop an internal roadmap for key initiatives and strategies that bring value, quality control and cost savings throughout the end-to-end supply chain processes.
 


 

 

 

 

 

 

Key Attributes and Characteristics

 

  • 7+ years of senior supply chain leadership required
  • BS Degree in Supply Chain Management or other affiliated business major (MBA preferred)
  • CSCP, CPM or CPIM certification a plus
  • Ability to travel (including international travel) 25% of the time
  • Experienced in international sourcing practices and negotiation
  • Experience with ISO9001/13485 and knowledge of regulatory requirements related to international trade compliance and FDA
Core competencies include: commodity management, global supplier relationship, quality, and risk management, global development of new suppliers, strategic sourcing, supplier rationalization, spend analysis, contract lifecycle management, budget planning, RFP and negotiations

We are committed to forward thinking technology, with recent developments in leading edge direct thermal substrates, gas absorbing coatings for produce preservation, conductive inks for flexible circuits and industrial inkjet inks for primary and secondary coding. IIMAK headquarters is located in Amherst, New York where primary R&D, engineering, manufacturing and sales activities reside, with a strong dedication to cross functional teamwork. Including the Amherst, New York headquarters, IIMAK has over 1,200 employees worldwide with manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities in Belgium, Brazil and Mexico. We currently have an opportunity at our Amherst, New York facility to join IIMAK as a HVAC Mechanic.

Principal Responsibilities:
ߦ Accountable for the inspection, maintenance and repair all facility HVAC equipment.
ߦ Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC equipment and make the associated repairs.  Replace filters, fuses, belts, motors, bearings, compressors, heat exchangers, valves and system controls as required.  Coordinate repairs with outside mechanical contractors as needed.
ߦ Perform daily checks and maintenance on plant systems including steam boilers, cooling towers, chilled water and compressed air systems.
ߦ Follow and document a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment is operating properly and efficiently.  Make recommendations on future equipment modifications, upgrades and purchases.
ߦ Initiate equipment work orders in the work order management system.  Maintain and complete work orders with labor hours, parts used and a record of completed tasks.
ߦ Performing general maintenance tasks on facility and manufacturing equipment including all aspects of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, roof repair, carpentry and other duties as assigned.
 
 Qualified Candidate Should Possess:
(qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job) 

ߦ Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems.  Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, track through documentation and train individuals in regard to HVAC systems. EPA approved Section 608 Universal Certification required. 
ߦ AAS degree (mechanical or facility field preferred) or 5+ years of applicable, hands-on experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
ߦ Working knowledge of plant support systems (compressors, chillers, boilers).
ߦ Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.  CAD experience, a plus.
ߦ Self-starter must be able to work with minimal supervision.
ߦ Provide outstanding customer service.
ߦ Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
ߦ Excellent problem solving abilities.
ߦ Ability to work an altered schedule as needed, to accommodate business needs.
ߦ Strong analytical & PC skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), work order management systems automated building management systems.
