Founded in 2003 as a Division of International Imaging Materials, Inc. (IIMAK), IIMED offers outsource manufacturing solutions for Class I & Class II medical device consumables such as orthopedic bracing, sterile & non-sterile supplies, compression therapy devices and patient mobility products. The manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico is ISO-13485 & FDA Registered and supports a broad range of Medical OEMs with high quality medical device production. We currently have an opportunity as an Account Manager. This person would be based within the IIMED team at IIMAK’s worldwide headquarters located in the Amherst, New York.

Position Contributions

  • Manage and grow sales for assigned accounts and OEM prospects. Effectively utilize available selling tools to further penetrate these accounts.
  • Establish clear territory plan which includes managing existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts. Identify accounts in territory and competitor share within accounts.
  • Effectively position iiMED as an industry leader, expand product reach and promote IIMED value-added services.
  • Coordinate iiMED personnel across multiple functions to develop and deliver differentiated customer value.
  • Good judgment and discretion in managing sample, travel and entertainment expenses to budgeted levels.
  • Analyze territory and account data, and then develop and implement strategic and tactical account plans to maximize revenue and profitability. Conduct periodic account reviews to ensure the plans are implemented accordingly.
  • Effectively analyze existing database information and utilize that information to identify buying trends, opportunities and concerns.
  • Coordinate the available company resources to execute effective account management plan.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for communicating sales progress, results and activity within account territories.
  • Responsible for the attainment of established sales goals and management of business aspects related to the territory or segment (price, margin & expenses).
  • Travel as required, up to 50%.

Key Attributes and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree, preferably an MBA, a plus.
  • Medical Device market knowledge expected.
  • Technical understanding of Medical Device Consumables & FDA Regulations is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful business-to-business sales experience required (Contract Manufacturing Sales is a plus).
  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels within an account.
  • Ability to identify revenue and margin growth opportunity; prepare and propose plans.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven candidate to help lead our accounting team in Amherst, NY. Reporting to the company’s Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager provides outstanding leadership and management to the accounting team, managing the general ledger and AP/AR functions at IIMAK. The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing account reconciliations, assist with system and policy enhancements supporting financial reporting, and partnering with business stakeholders on ad-hoc projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the day-to-day accounting and general ledger activities, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, perform monthly consolidation process and monthly balance sheet and P&L review that provide insights into key business drivers
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarter and year-end close processes
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team of direct reports. Manage the team to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies, practices, and deadlines
  • Supports audits and review processes
  • Prepares corporate tax filings accurately and timely
  • Analyzes business processes and works to improve, establish and/or implement controls
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and company-wide initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • May assist with acquisition due diligence and integration as needed
  • Responsible for leading the accounting department in maintaining effective internal controls and documentation related to policies and procedures
  • Continuously stays current on changes in regulations and takes action to ensure IIMAK is in full compliance
  • Performs other duties as requested

 

Ideal Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a background in public accounting (preferably from a big 4 firm)
  • A minimum of one year leading a team
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Technical accounting and/or tax research skills desired
  • Effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills

ߦ Utilize hoist and crane system
ߦ Utilize personal computers, printers and wireless barcode scanning equipment
ߦ Use software including Microsoft Dynamics AX, IMS, Slitting Dispatch, Slit Specification database, Lot Tracker, leaderstrip & bintag label printing software, Windows, and Excel
ߦ Perform direct labor tasks in Production including jumbo packing, shrink-wrapping, packing and core cutting

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Part-Time Safety Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of safety. The Safety Coordinator will ensure that IIMAK meets and exceeds all requirements pertaining to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
ߦ 20-25 hours per week working in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
ߦ Administer Safety Ambassador program
ߦ Administer Safety Talk program; research, author, distribute and sometimes facilitate talks.
ߦ Report and review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing. Make recommendations to address any situations of concern.
ߦ Perform monthly on-shift audits to focus on a safe and incident free workplace
ߦ Monitor, audit and report on compliance with OSHA required programs
ߦ Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation
ߦ Identify opportunities to prevent injuries and improve workplace safety and follow through on program implementation.  
ߦ Assist in preparing monthly safety meetings
ߦ Perform internal audits of safety activities to evaluate compliance and input corrective actions as needed.
ߦ Review and update JSAs plant-wide

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:

Position Summary:
The Sr. Market Manager is a known commercial channel leader and market expert within the thermal transfer ribbon industry. Incumbent specializes in influencing and shaping product development initiatives and program integration efforts to accelerate IIMAK’s market impact while driving profitable growth for the company. 

Principal Responsibilities: 
ߦ The Sr. Market Manager leverages their deep knowledge of industry trends, leverages contacts for supplemental insights, and conducts market research to understand current market needs not satisfied along with competitive developments that directly impact the current and projected TTR global marketplace.
ߦ Leverages knowledge to define, evaluate, and implements TTR product line development strategy, based on validated market analytics, competitive insights, and customer needs.
ߦ Collaborates with Marketing, R&D, Sales and Manufacturing counterparts on development initiatives through stage gate form commercialization processes, working closely with cross-functional teams. 
ߦ The Sr. Market Manager builds alignment, provides direct and supports the sales team to identify new markets to penetrate or customers to align with IIMAK’s business capabilities. This includes product positioning guidance, training, promotional programs, sales tools, etc., aimed at supporting the direct sales team in achieving their goals.
ߦ Manages day-to-day product requirements including product life cycle management, pricing considerations, margin management, quality assurance needs, and product benchmarking. 
ߦ Works to define total market opportunity, defining competitive landscape, market share analytics, and available market opportunities by product, including growth predictions. Leverages this information to formulate proposals regarding new product development initiatives.
ߦ Prepares and presents thorough internal reports and presentations for executive review, evaluation, and decision making on go or no-go for product development initiatives.
ߦ Travel as required, approximately 50%. Domestic and international travel.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
ߦ Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree, preferably an MBA, a plus.
ߦ 8+ years of business analytics or product management experience, related to AIDC or TTR applications.
ߦ Successful track record of working with customers and cross-functional teams to identify, specify, develop, communicate, and launch new products.
ߦ Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, analyze issues and question effectively to elicit accurate information; systematically evaluate problems and encourage alternative approaches and new ideas.
ߦ Able to connect multiple facets of data into a succinct outline, conveying validated and accurate assumptions leading to pointed recommendations for product advancements.
